Congratulations to Hannah Scribner and Zoey Royer, Winners of the 2026 Dick Loges Veteran Entrepreneur Fund!

Hannah Scribner of David City, Nebraska, and Zoey Royer of Orange, Texas, have been selected from 381 applicants as the 2026 recipients of the Dick Loges Veteran Entrepreneur Fund scholarship, each receiving $2,000 toward their education. Hannah is a first-generation college student studying graphic design at UNL, the daughter of a disabled Navy veteran who runs his own house-moving business in Nebraska. Zoey, also a first-generation college student, lost her veteran father in 2022 and began working at fifteen to support her family. She started her own jewelry business in high school and now serves as Student Government Association President at Lamar State College-Orange while planning to pursue law school. This is the first year the scholarship has been awarded to two recipients.

The Dick Loges Veteran Entrepreneur Fund was established to honor the legacy of Dick Loges, a beloved grandfather of Rod Loges, co-founder of One Degree Financial. Dick was a veteran who, like many who serve our country, transitioned into entrepreneurship after his military service. This fund is a tribute to his memory and to all veterans who continue to serve their communities through business ownership and innovation.

This $2,000 scholarship supports aspiring students of veteran entrepreneurs and business founders pursuing higher education or vocational training. The fund grows through our community engagement program, with contributions made to honor veteran entrepreneurs who share their time and wisdom with others.
